Antoine Leduc becomes President of the Canadian Bar Association’s Quebec Branch

The firm BCF Business Law is proud to announce that one of its partners, Antoine Leduc, will be President of the Canadian Bar Association’s Quebec Branch (“CBA Quebec”) for 2014-2015.

Dr. Leduc has been a member of CBA Quebec since his early days as a lawyer. He chaired its Bankruptcy and Insolvency section in 2007-2008, co-chaired and founded its Legislation and Law Reform Committee, and has been a member of its Executive Committee since 2008. “I am very pleased to accept this office and serve my profession. CBA Quebec’s mission is to speak for and support members of the legal profession in Quebec and I look forward to contributing to that to the best of my abilities”, Dr. Leduc said.

Antoine Leduc, who has a Ph.D. in Law, is a member of the Quebec Bar and is a partner with BCF L.L.P. in Montreal, where he practices banking law and financing, bankruptcy, insolvency and restructuring law, business law and international development, as well as real estate law. Dr. Leduc is also associate researcher with the Governance and Business Law Chair at the University of Montreal’s Law Faculty and Fellow of the American College of Mortgage Attorneys. A popular speaker and the author of several publications, his book Mondialisation et harmonisation du droit des sûretés (Globalization and Harmonisation of Secured Transactions), which was published by Éditions Thémis in 2012, won the 2013 Quebec Bar Foundation’s legal competition award in the “Monograph and Treatise” category.
