BLG’s Louise Arbour to receive Symons Medal

Borden Ladner Gervais LLP (BLG) is pleased to announce that The Honourable Louise Arbour, C.C, G.O.Q., is the recipient of this year’s Symons Medal.

She was recently appointed to lead an independent review into sexual misconduct in the Canadian Armed Forces.

The Symons Medal Lecture takes place Oct. 29, 2021, at Confederation Centre of the Arts in Charlottetown, P.E.I. Madame Arbour will receive her medal and give a lecture on the state of Canada’s Confederation. Past Symons recipients include historian Dr. Margaret MacMillan; The Right Honourable Beverley McLachlin, Chief Justice of Canada; and Senator Murray Sinclair, Chairman of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.
