Provençal, SergeÉric Beauchesne, president of Joli-Cœur Lacasse, is pleased to announce the arrival of Serge Provençal and Jean-Philippe Rocheleau to the Montreal’s office.

Graduated in law from the University of Sherbrooke in 1985, Mr. Serge Provençal was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 1987. Entertainment law, copyright and image rights dominate his practice. He also works in business law and as a mediator. Having developed a particular expertise in the field of music, television and cinema, he is called upon to represent creators and content producers in organizing their business and to negotiate various contractual agreements. In the audiovisual field, he analyzes the productions under review related to insurance.

Having obtained his Law degree from the University of Sherbrooke in 2006 as well as a graduate diploma in Molecular Biotechnology and Law in 2010, Mr. Rocheleau was called to the Quebec Bar in 2007. Business, entertainment and copyright are predominant within his practice. He also works in contracts, corporate law, licensing, error & omission insurance, trademarks and personality rights. He is called to represent clients from the business, arts, music, television and film industry for purposes of counseling, negotiation, contract drafting, litigation settlement and corporate structuring.In particular, he is called to counsel his clients regarding music production and publishing, television and film production, application of collective labour agreements in the artistic industry, involvement with copyright collective societies, and exploitation of artistic products.
