The Rideau Tennis Club has been acquired and will become the Rideau Sports Centre
WelchGroup Consulting, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Welch LLP, served as the exclusive financial advisor to Nicki Bridgland, CEO of the new Rideau Sports Centre (RSC). Bridgland is also the CEO and Founder of the Ottawa Sports and Social Club (OSSC), which operates sport leagues, tournament and social events for approximately 10,000 weekly players.
Located on the banks of the Rideau River with breathtaking views, the RSC will become a first class multi-sport recreation facility for the residents of Ottawa. The clubhouse will house a new restaurant with multiple patios, and also a wellness centre.
Bridgland’s vision is to revitalize the historic landmark formerly known as the Rideau Tennis Club for future generations of adults and children, by introducing a vibrant mix of year-round multi-sport, recreation, play and social activities. The entire facility will be open to the public.
RSC will be a universal social hub that encourages community building through sport, diversity and participation.
