Informa’s Getting Bigger and Better and We Wanted You To Know
While our team at Informa Canada is focused on the final preparations for The Buildings Show and
The Real Estate Forum being held next week, we have some good news to share with you.
Our parent company, Informa plc, just acquired Hanley Wood Exhibitions, the premier producer of residential, commercial design and construction industry events in the United States. With a portfolio of 17 major shows serving these markets, Hanley Wood manages such high profile events as American Institute of Architects’ annual Conference and Expo, Greenbuild Conference & Expo, World of Concrete, The International Surfaces Event West and East, International Roofing Expo, Construct, JLC Live, the Remodelling Show, DeckExpo, and the International Pool Spa and Patio Expo.
The acquisition of this high quality exposition and conference portfolio will offer some unparalleled new opportunities for the tens of thousands of exhibitors, architects, builders, contractors, designers, engineers and specifiers who attend Informa’s Canadian events serving this industry sector – including The Buildings Show in Toronto; the Buildex shows in Vancouver, Calgary and Edmonton; the Contech shows in Montreal, Quebec City and across the Province of Quebec; and RoofTech.
By integrating Canada’s largest producer of expositions, networking and educational events for the built environment – from design, construction and renovation, to real estate investment, development and management – with the Hanley Wood events, geo-cloning opportunities and synergies will emerge for the benefit of suppliers and organizations across North America.
We anticipate leveraging our new U.S. partners to enhance The Buildings Show in 2015 and beyond.
But that’s next year.
Right now, our team at Informa Canada is focused on the 2014 Show, and ensuring that the thousands of attendees and exhibitors from across Canada and around the world joining us December 2nd – 5th at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre will have a unique and unparalleled opportunity for education, networking, and leading-edge programming.
Remember that Construct Canada, PM Expo, Concrete Canada, HomeBuilder & Renovator Expo, and The Real Estate Forum will be in the South Building and IIDEXCanada and Construct International will be in the North Building.
